This week's grammar topic is interjections. An interjection is a word or expression that occurs as an utterance on its own and can express a spontaneous feeling or reaction. Remember, the word of the day, gardyloo? That was an interjection!

Some example sentences of interjections are:

Ouch! I hit my dang foot on the coffee table again!

Oops, I spilled juice on the couch.

Water fell on Pearl's head and she ran to the bathroom to dry it. When she was done her hair made everyone go, "yikes!".
